וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יוֹאָ֜ב אֶל־הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ וְיוֹסֵ֣ף יְהוָה֩ אֱלֹהֶ֨יךָ אֶל־הָעָ֜ם כָּהֵ֤ם ׀ וְכָהֵם֙ מֵאָ֣ה פְעָמִ֔ים וְעֵינֵ֥י אֲדֹנִֽי־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ רֹא֑וֹת וַאדֹנִ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ לָ֥מָּה חָפֵ֖ץ בַּדָּבָ֥ר הַזֶּֽה׃
Lalu Yoab berkata kepada raja: “Kiranya Yang Mahakekal, Allahmu, menambah rakyat ini sebanyak jumlah mereka, dan sebanyak itu lagi, sampai seratus kali lipat, selagi mata tuanku raja masih dapat melihatnya. Tetapi mengapa tuanku raja menginginkan hal ini?”

And Yoav said: May the L-rd add to His people, like them, one hundred times. Are they not, my lord the king, all servants of my lord? Why does my lord desire this [(to number the people)], for the guilt of Israel?
